Color Inspiration - Alaskan Range
A friend of mine just bought a home in Alaska. Before purchasing the home, worked 3 months out of the year for several years at a mining site and commuted back and forth to his home and family in Colorado. Having the opportunity to watch his travels via social media, I got to witness the turning of the seasons, the long summer nights where the sun barely sets, and the brilliantly verdant colors of the season's foliage. On his most recent journey back to Colorado, he snapped this amazing photo of fog in the valley on the back side of Mount Sanford and Mount Blackburn.
Wow, what a vivid and poetic way to describe the landscape! Growing up surrounded by mountains must have given you such a deep, intuitive sense of how light dances across layers of earth and sky. That's such a beautiful way to put it the fog "drinks deeply of the earth" and the peaks "pierce the clouds" feels like a living, breathing scene captured in your words and your necklace design. The way you brought together Montana agate, amazonite, hematite, and lapis lazuli sounds like a perfect harmony of light and shadow, depth and brightness.
