I would walk the floors of convention centers and hotel ballrooms, stocked wall-to-wall with tables chock full of beads, pearls, gemstones-every material imaginable for making jewelry. Catching up with artists and vendors was always great fun. Evenings would be spent dining with associates in the industry, bead manufacturers, and bead shop owners. I always managed to sneak in a little extra time to take in the local scenery and architecture, even if it was only for an early morning walk before the hustle and bustle of the day began.
This photo was taken in Tucson, but it reminds me of the adobe buildings in Santa Fe as well. I just love the colors of the Southwest, and the combination of coral and turquoise makes for a stylish necklace fit for any spring or summer wardrobe.
