I used to walk the floors of convention centers and hotel ballrooms packed wall-to-wall with tables overflowing with beads, pearls, gemstones every material imaginable for making jewelry.
Catching up with artists and vendors was always a highlight. Evenings were spent dining with industry friends, bead manufacturers, and shop owners, sharing stories and ideas.
I always made time to enjoy the local scenery and architecture, even if it was just a quiet early morning walk before the busy day began.
This photo was taken in Tucson, but it reminds me of the adobe buildings in Santa Fe as well.
I just love the colors of the Southwest, and the combination of coral and turquoise makes for a stylish necklace fit for any spring or summer wardrobe.
