Red Poppy Hoop Earrings with Beaded Fringe

Cut a 5 1/4" piece of 18-gauge wire. Form a simple loop on one end and then bend the loop into a 90-degree angle. Use a dowel to shape the wire into a hoop that's about 1 1/4" in diameter. Repeat this step to form a second hoop.

Cut the 24-gauge wire into eleven 2" segments. Use a hammer and bench block to flatten one end of each wire into a paddle. String 1" of small seed beads onto one piece of wire to form the center dangle.

Use a second wire to string 7/8" of beads. Use a third wire to string 3/4" of beads. Use a fourth wire to string 5/8" of beads. Use a fifth wire to string 1/2" of beads. Use a sixth wire to string 3/8" of beads. Repeat this step to form a second set of matching dangles.

Form a simple loop onto the end of each wire dangle, snug against the last seed bead strung.

String a large copper seed bead onto one of the hoops and then add the dangles in graduated order so the largest is in the center and the smallest are on each end, making sure to add a copper seed bead in between each dangle. Repeat this step to form a second earring.
