I love wearing simple links. With all the different colors and gauges of wire, you can come up with new creative linked jewelry with a spool of wire and some tools. Sometimes you just want to grab a necklace to go with your jeans or wear something simple. These links are easy and quick to make. If you're not a blingy gal, leave off the crystals or use pearls instead.

Instructions
Step 1
You need 2 pieces of wire per link. Cut 28 wire lengths 2" long. 14 of each wire color. Make loops on both wire ends using the Wubbers pliers. I wrapped the wire around the smaller jaw to create the loops.


Pro Tip: You can use a heavier gauge wire for more sturdy links if you want to hang a heavy pendant as a focal piece on the necklace.

Step 2
Place center of wire in the middle of the pliers and using your fingers, slightly bend the wire around the smaller jaw. Try to keep the bend consistent with all wire lengths.

Step 3
Repeat bending for all wire lengths.

Step 4
Work harden the wire pieces by hammering the entire piece of wire. Then flip it over and hammer the other side. Repeat for all wire lengths.

Step 5
Create crystal bead dangles by sliding a crystal onto an eye pin and make a small loop at the top of the crystal.

Step 6
Use one wire length of each color to create each link. Attach both wire loops with a jump ring making sure each wire length is facing the opposite direction.

Step 7
Intertwine the other loops of the 2 wire lengths and slip into a jump ring. Add a crystal dangle and close the jump ring. Repeat for the remaining wire lengths by attaching the crystal dangle as the connector between links.

Step 8
Add a clasp to one of the ends of the necklace and a few jump rings to the other end.

*For earrings: Create 2 crystal dangles using head pins instead of eye pins. Repeat steps 6-7 and finish off using ear wires instead of a clasp.
