Proportion and Wrapped Loops

by Cathryn Jakicic
Here's a little tip that is often overlooked when we're making loops.
Instructions
Whenever possible, make the size of your loop proportionate to your bead. You don't want your loop to be more prominent than the bead. This pearl has some heft, but you don't want the loops to draw your eye from the bead.

The same guideline applies if the loop will be strung on a chain. The loop size/gauge should be proportionate to the links/gauge of the chain. If you're using a very fine chain, make your wrapped loop petite.
