Magical Painter's Tape
by Jennifer Brooks
We've all heard of covering your pliers with painter's tape to protect your wire. Here's another way to use painter's tape in jewelry making
Instructions
Do you have a delicate stone, but you need to polish your piece and don't want to damage the stone's polish or seal?
• Use strips of blue painter's tape to cover the parts of the stone that are exposed to potential damage. Whether you're using 0000 stainless steel (please wear gloves!) or a dremel tool and polishing pins or discs, the tape will keep your stone safe from the abrasive surfaces of those polishing agents.
