Keep Layering - enamel
I think it's fun to learn an enameling process and then change it around to see what else is possible. That's what I did with the Layered Torch Enameled Earrings (see my project in the education section).
Instructions
I like using the strips of paper shown in the original tutorial, but also tried different shapes.
I cut both wavy strips and circles, but you could do many other shapes as well.
By the way, I easily cut the paper circles out with my disc cutter.
As you can see in the first photo, I also cut different shapes of copper including fat rectangles and circles.

I used the plain paper strips atop circles for the green pair pictured.
The opaque enamels included 1380 Mistletoe Green, 1315 Willow Green and 1440 Delft Blue. I used 2650 Heron Blue Transparent.
This transparent gives a fairly heavy coverage, so I used a 100 mesh sifter to make a lighter application.

The fat rectangular earrings were created using paper circles.
They were enameled with 1780 Grape, 1720 Mauve Pink and 1615 Atlantic Blue.
I used 2720 Harold Purple Transparent over the mesh.
