Recently, I've had many customers request more lighter weight jewelry so I wanted to give aluminum wire a try. I love the results! Light weight and very easy to work with so double the fun. I usually gravitate to large links for bracelets as I did in this one, but you could make this same design using the smaller oval mandrel pliers for a more delicate look.

Instructions
Step 1
Cut a 5" piece of wire and wrap around the large jaw of the oval mandrel pliers leaving ¾" at the top. Repeat to make 6 links total. This bracelet ends up 7.5" long. Make as many or few links to fit your wrist.

Step 2
Wrap a loop at the top using the smallest jaw of the round mandrel pliers. Repeat for all links.

Step 3
Push the wire to the inside of the oval and wrap a loop inside the circle. Repeat for all links.

Step 4
Avoiding the top loop, hammer the entire link first with a flat chasing hammer and then using a texture hammer until you're pleased with the amount of texture. Repeat for all links.

Step 5
Using 2 chain or flat nose pliers, twist the top loop 90 degrees with the split towards the back. Repeat for all links.

Step 6
Patina the links using liver of sulfur or my cheater patina method:

Step 7
Open the top loop on a link and slip in the bottom of a link; close top loop and repeat until you've attached all links.

Step 8
Attach a lobster clasp to one end of the bracelet and a couple of jump rings to the other end.
