Wire Wrapped Beach Glass Angels

by Tonie Marlow

With Summer in full swing, many of us are taking trips to the ocean and finding beach glass, and today I’d like to show you a very cute and unique idea sent to us by Tonie Marlow that utilizes some of that beautiful glass you might find.

Toni writes:

Living on the Pacific ocean, I’ve been a “Beach-glass addict” all my life and for the last 10 years, I’ve made a jewelry line of hand wrapped beach glass.  No Glue!

I find that if you are careful and have selected the right shape of glass, making gravity work for you and also wrapping tightly, (along with some selective turns of the wrist with chain nose pliers) glue is superfluous.  I love this technique!  Then it hit me… Beach glass and wire wrapped ANGELS!

So, I sat down on my couch and made 10 in 2 hours.  I’ve already given half of them to friends  (I always give handmade ornaments each year, a bit early) – so you can enjoy then on that year’s tree!

Below are a few of the basic angels…  Use your imagination and be creative!
